You will get an industry approved qualification when you study with us but you will also get to experience our small-group learning environment which allows every student to have plenty of one-to-one learning time with the teacher. This approach makes it considerably more enjoyable for the student and the teacher and helps them to develop a personal relationship.
We know that everyone can learn new skills with the right support
Learning new skills isn’t always easy, especially if you haven’t studied for some time, and we understand that this can be daunting. However, we support each student that crosses our threshold to the best of our ability, and send them back out of the classroom with the confidence to practice their new skills and carve out their dream career.
We adapt our courses and timings to suit your needs whenever possible
We all understand the complications involved in juggling work and family commitments. We have a dedicated training space that is in a very quiet area just outside of Reading. You can study in a peaceful and tranquil learning center that is tailor made for teaching.
About Your Teacher
Lisa Marie Hawtin has over 25 years experience in the beauty industry. She has incredible passion for the opportunities it holds for new beauty technicians and make-up artists and has taken a huge amount of pleasure in working with her students over the past few years.
Having worked and taught for big names in the industry such as Estee Lauder, Daniel Sandler’s personal team based at Harrods, Nirvana Spa, The Dorchester and The Four Seasons, she knew it was time to start her own venture. Holistic Beauty Academy was always at the back of her mind and developing a new business seemed like an excellent challenge .
Lisa Marie began teaching make-up on a one-to-one basis many years ago and loved the opportunities it gave her to work with really passionate people. Progressing to teach beauty treatments seemed like a logical step as it meant getting to use her many years of expertise. This step led to amazing jobs in the spa industry and eventually, to opening Holistic Beauty Academy.
Becoming a business owner as well as a teacher has been incredibly rewarding for Lisa Marie and she is so grateful for all the support friends and family have given her over the years. This support was invaluable and strengthened her belief that the best way for the majority of people to learn is by having a supportive and flexible working environment that suits their individual needs.
